Beef Pho with Asian Marinated Ribeye Steak

This tasty oven-baked dish is simple to prepare, taking just 20 minutes in the oven, all in one tray. A healthy twist on a commonly fried favorite.

This recipe uses two pots of Kusari Noodles Beef Pho Flavor.

What you'll need

2 pots of Kusari Beef Pho

For the steak:

1 4oz ribeye steak (can use alternative cut if preferred), 1/2inch thick

1 chicory

1 fresh red chili

2 tsp soy

1 tsp ginger paste

Pinch of salt

To serve:

¼ lime

A handful of chopped cilantro leaves

Preparation

Make up your Kusari Beef Pho Pot as per the instructions on the pot.

Whilst your pot is infusing, finely chop 1-2cm of fresh red chili (depending on how hot you like your dish). In a shallow bowl, whisk together the salt, chili, soy and ginger paste, then massage into your steak.

Heat a large non-stick pan or griddle on a medium to high heat, and place steak in the pan.  Fry for 3 minutes on each side, then remove from pan and place on a board to rest. Keep the pan hot with the juices.

Whilst steak is resting, slice the chicory into fine strips and fry in the steak pan for 2-4 minutes, until it starts to soften. Whilst it cooks, slice the steak into small 1cm strips.

To serve, add your noodles to your bowls. Top with the chicory and steak, and a squeeze of lime. Garnish with a sprinkle of chopped cilantro leaves.
